인터넷 의존유형과 인터넷 중독과의 관련성 연구

This was an empirical study on the relationship between Internet addiction and Internet users' Internet dependency patterns. Aiming at about 630 adolescents, an examination was made on characteristics of Internet use, the degree and patterns of Internet addiction. As a result, the degree of Internet addiction was different by patterns of Internet dependency. Respondents, who depend on the Internet for 'interaction' and 'solitary play' at the personal level of six patterns of Internet dependency presented in Media-system Dependency Theory, were highly related to Internet addiction. As respondents depended on the Internet for 'interaction' and 'solitary play', they were more likely to be statically related to various patterns of Internet addiction including, addictive automatic though', 'withdrawal symptoms', 'deviate behavior', 'virtual interpersonal relationship' and 'tolerance'. Thus the results of this study showed the fact that the degree of Internet addiction can be different depending on how to use and depend on the Internet.
