신문의 보도 프레임 형성과 뉴스 제작 과정에 대한 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of news-producing process on the news frame building. Two methods have been utilized to answer the research purpose. First, frame analysis was done to investigate specific news frames in newspapers. Then, we interviewed journalists to find how they perceive which factors have impact on the their final new production process and which factors are likely to be associated with the news frames that we have investigated in the first stage of the research. The events that were selected for analysis were national scandals which are believed to include various factors related to determinants of news frames. The result of frame analysis shows that each event has five kinds of news frame. They are disclosing a tragedy, morals, calling someone to account, conspiracy/manipulation, and reformation/improvement in the first event, Disclosure/prosecution, conspiracy/manipulation, confrontation/disruption/conflict, morals, and reformation/improvement frames are found in the second and third events. Based on the news frames that were found in the first stage, investigators tried to infer how the frames are built and which production factors are associated with the frames using in-depth interview with journalist who covered the events. The study found that gatekeeping function of media organization is the most important factors influencing the news frames, according to the interview by journalists. Finally, we suggested a model which specify the relationship between production facotors and news frames.
