국문 초록 (Abstract)

학교교육과정 변화에서 교장의 교육과정 지도성은 가장 중요하다고 볼 수 있다. 우리나 라에서는 교장의 지도성을 주로 교육행정적인 면에 두고 행정 관리자로서의 교장에 초점을 맞춘 것이 사실이다. 그러나 근래 세계적인 추세는 교장의 교육과정 지도성을 강조하는 방향으로 나아가고 있다. 이 논문에서는 초등학교 교원들이 인식한 교장의 교육과정 지도성(leadership)을 알아보는 데 있다. 첫째, 초등학교 교장의 교육과정 지도성을 구성하는 요인, 둘째, 초동학교 교감, 부장교사, 교사가 인식하는 교장의 교육과정 지도성, 셋째, 초등학교 교장의 교육과정 지도성이 학교 현장에 주는 시사점을 중심으로 연구문제를 설정하였다. 연구방법은 양적 연구로 이원변량분석을 활용했으며, 질적 연구로 인터뷰 방법을 활용하였다. 요인분석을 통해 교장의 지도성과 관련된 네 가지 요인인 교육과정 책무성, 학교경영 및 지원, 교육과정 전문성, 지역사회 관련을 도출하였다. 결론적으로 교육과정 책무성과 지역 사회 관련 요인의 평균이 낮았으며, 교사들의 교육과정에 대한 이해가 낮았다는 점이 앞으로 교장이 풀어야 할 과제라고 본다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to identify how curriculum leadership is conducted by elementary principals from the perspectives of school personnel. In order to do this project, research questions were suggested as follows: Firstly, the elements constituting principal's curriculum leadership; secondly, curriculum leadership perceived by the elementary school vice principal, head teacher and teacher, lastly, the implications of principal's curriculum leadership for educational practice. Quantitative and qualitative methods are used as research methods. Four elements were located as follows: curriculum accountability, school management and support, curriculum expertise and community relationship. In conclusion, the average number of curriculum accountability and community relationship is low and teachers' understanding of curriculum is one of the most serious problems the principal should solve in the future.
