도덕교육에 대한 서사적 접근과 관계적 자아의 실현 = A Narrative Approach to Moral Educationand A Relative Self-Realization

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to explore the method of moral education for a relative self-realization in a narrative perspective. Until now, our moral education has been focused on the development of individual cognitive morality. This moral education based on reason is not proper to information society in 21 century which needs diversity and integrity, in that it pursues the realization of an isolated self which is separated from social traditions and cultures, or an autonomous self-realization. Clearly, moral education in 21 century would go forward realizing a relative self which has been imbedded in traditions and cultures, and integrating the cognitive, affective and active dimensions in moral education. In this context, a narrative approach to moral education through movie clips would contribute to student' caring and coexisting with others, because it allows him to tell his moral experiences and reflect on his lives in context of concrete moral lives.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 글은 관계적 자아의 실현을 위한 도덕교육의 방법을 서사적 관점에서 논의한 것이다. 지금까지 우리의 도덕교육은 개인의 인지적 도덕성 발달에 초점을 맞추었다. 이러한 이성 중심의 도덕교육은 사회의 전통이나 문화에 기초하지 못한 채 분리된 고립적 자아, 혹은 자율적 자아의 실현을 꾀한다는 점에서 다양성과 통합성이 요구되는 21세기 정보화 사회와는 거리가 있다. 분명, 21세기의 도덕교육은 전통과 문화에 뿌리박은 관계적 자아를 실현하는 도덕교육, 인지적․정서적․행동적 측면을 포괄하는 통합적 도덕교육으로 나아가야 한다. 이런 맥락에서 동영상을 활용하는 서사적 도덕교육은 학생들로 하여금 도덕적 삶을 전체적으로 성찰하게 하고 타인을 배려하는 태도를 길러준다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
