부모 및 부인의 교육수준과 교육투자수익률 = Parent and Wife`s Educational Level and the Rate of Return of Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문에서는 『경제활동인구부가조사』를 이용해 가구구성원들의 교육수준이 자신의 교육투자수익률에 미치는 효과를 분석한다. 본 연구는 2001년 연구에 비해 훨씬 흥미로운 결과를 보여주고 있다. 외국의 결과와 마찬가지로 부인의 교육수준이 자신의 임금을 결정함에 있어 부모보다 중요한 역할을 한 것으로 나타났고 부모 및 부인의 교육수준이 포함됨에 따라 학력별로 감소 정도는 달랐지만 44%-60% 감소하였다.

In this paper, we examine the role of family educational level on his own earnings in Korea. According to the result, family education, especially wife education, have a significant effect on his own earning. When family education is included in wage equation, the rate of return of education is reduced by 45%-60%.
