장애아동의 비장애형제를 위한 프로그램이 비장애형제의 우울감과 장애형제를 대하는 행동에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of the Sibling Support Program on Nonhandicapped Siblings' Depression and Behavior toward Disabled Sibling

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the sibling support program on nonhandicapped siblings' depression and behavior toward disabled sibling. Subjects were 22 siblings of disabled children sampled from elementary school. Among them 10 children were assigned into experimental group, which participated in sibling support program of 6 session, and 12 were no treatment control group. The sibling support program used in this study was based on Sibshop(Meyer & Vadasy, 1994), and added the art therapy program components and the mind training program components. Outcome measures used were Children's Depression Inventory(CDI) and Schaeffer Sibling Behavior Rating Scale(SSBR). The results were as follows: First, depression level of the experimental group significantly decreased compared with that of the control group. Second, behavior toward disabled sibling of the experimental group significantly improved compared with that of the control group. The limitations and the suggestions for future researches were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 비장애형제를 위한 형제지원 프로그램이 비장애형제들의 우울과 장애형제를 대하는 행동을 개선시키는데 효과가 있음을 입증하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 부천시내 초등학교 특수학급에 다니는 장애아동들과 부천시 장애인종합복지관을 이용한 경험이 있는 장애아동의 비장애형제 4, 5, 6학년 22명으로, 10명을 실험집단에, 12명을 통제집단에 배치하였으며, 실험집단은 총 6회에 걸쳐 형제지원프로그램에 참여했다. 형제지원 프로그램은 Meyer와 Vadasy(1994)의 Sibshop을 바탕으로 미술치료 프로그램과 심성개발 프로그램을 보충하여 재구성하였다. 측정도구로 아동용 우울검사(Children's Depression Inventory, CDI)와 장애아동에 대한 비장애형제의 행동평정척도(Schaeffer Sibling Behavior Rating Scale, SSBR)를 사용하였다. 본 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실험집단의 아동들이 통제집단에 비하여 유의미하게 우울이 감소되었다. 둘째, 실험집단의 아동들이 통제집단에 비하여 장애형제에 대한 행동이 유의미하게 향상되었다. 끝으로 연구의 제한점과 후속연구를 위한 제언에 대하여 언급하였다.
