초등학생 정서지능 향상을 위한 정서교육 일 모형으로서 용서교육 프로그램 개발 = Development of Forgiveness Program as a model for Emotional Intelligence Education in elementary school

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of study was to develop a forgiveness education program on elementary school students` emotional intelligence and examine it`s effects. The subjects of this study are 173 fifth and sixth grade students who were divided into an experimental group(85 students) and a control group(88students). The research design of this study is based on a pre-test, a post-test between the both groups. With the test data, the students feedbacks were collected to identify the subjects` responds to the program. The quantitative results of this study are as follows: First, the experimental-group having performed forgiveness education program has increased in the level of forgiveness and made a considerable increase in the sub-areas of forgiveness(emotion, cognition, and behavior) than the control group has. Second, the experimental group with forgiveness education program has improved in the level of emotional intelligence and showed a significant increase in the sub-areas of emotional intelligence(emotional recognition and expression, empathy) than the control group has. Third, the experimental-group having performed forgiveness education program has increased in the level of school adjustment and made a considerable increase in the sub-areas of school adjustment(teacher-relationship, friend-relationship, study attitude, school norm) than the control group has. These results were supported and intensified by qualitative data based on comment papers and program evaluation questionnaire. This study shows that forgiveness education program can be used as a model for developing various human emotional abilities and can also be used as a systematic personality education program for developing sound emotion, morality and character in education fields.
