효과적인 유아 미술교육의 방안 모색 = Effective art teaching methods for young children.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to consider characteristics of a successful art educational program and to explore new and were effective art teaching methods for young children.
This study explores the process and purpose of art, and several opinions about art education for young children. To this end, it compares the characteristics of Discipline­Based Art Education, Reggio Emilia and Whole Art Education.
DBAE is an art education method that includes art history, criticism and aesthetics as well as production. Reggio Emilia is an influential program for children and is related to artistic characteristics. Whole Art Education emphasizes integrating art education in to early child education.
This study identifies a need for a developmentally appropriate and practically balanced art educational program that includes various characteristics of traditional and modern young child art programs.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 유아 미술교육방법의 특징을 고찰하여 새로운 유아미술교육의 효과적 방향을 모색하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해 유아 미술의 과정과 목적에 관한 몇 가지 의견과 여러 나라의 유아 미술교육을 살펴보고, 학문에 기초한 미술교육인 DBAE(Discipline­Based Art Education)와 그 미술적 특성으로 영향력 있는 유아프로그램의 하나로 제시되고 있는 레지오 에밀리아 그리고 총체적 언어교육과 연관된 맥락에서의 미술교육을 강조하는 총체적 유아 미술교육의 특성을 고찰하였다. 그 결과 현 시대의 가장 적절한 유아 미술교육 방법으로 유아의 발달에 적절하며, 전통적 미술 교육방법과 현대적 경향의 미술 프로그램의 다양한 특성을 포함하는 구체적인 균형적 미술 교육 프로그램의 필요성을 제안하였다.
