유아 어머니의 자녀양육 상담 요구와 상담 내용에 대한 실태 조사 = The Need and Contents for Childrearing Counseling forthe Mothers of Preschoolers

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study attempts to explore the need for childrearing counseling for the mothers of preschoolers, and to create an emprical base for the the development of education program for the parents of preschoolers. The data for this study was collected from a sample of 171 preschoolers` mothers. Structured self-administrating questionnaires were used. It was discovered that 95.3% of mothers samples(163) wanted childrearing counseling in kindergarten. The most important indicator of the need for childrearing counseling was the mother`s age, followed by childrearing stress, and family type. In adition, most mothers wanted to be counseled in the area of parenting skills development. In particular, they wanted to promote positive parent-child relationships. This study suggests that early childhood education institutions should support to develop childrearing programs for the mothers of preschoolers.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 자녀양육 상담 요구와 그 관련요인, 자녀양육 상담 내용을 규명하고자 했다. 연구방법으로 171명의 유아 어머니를 대상으로 설문지 조사를 실시했으며, 주요한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구 대상자의 95.3%(163 명)가 유치원에서 실시하는 자녀양육 상담을 원했으며, 상담횟수는 한 학기에 2회 정도를 가장 많이 원했다. 그리고 자녀양육 상담 요구에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 어머니의 연령, 양육스트레스, 가족형태가 나타났다. 어머니의 연령이 낮을수록, 양육스트레스가 높을수록, 시부모님과 함께 사는 어머니일수록 자녀양육 상담을 많이 원했다. 둘째, 유아 어머니가 원하는 상담 내용은 부모역할 기술증진이 가장 많았으며, 구체적으로 자녀와 긍정적 관계를 발전시키는 전략을 가장 많이 원하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 유아교육기관의 역할로서 유아의 발달을 지원하는 것뿐만 아니라 유아 어머니의 자녀양육을 지원하기 위한 자녀양육 상담이 요구되고 있다는 것을 시사하고 있다.
