한국 대학생의 사회적 유능성 구성요인 탐색과 유용성 연구 = The Construct and Utility of Social Competence in Korean College Students

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to identify constructs of social competence by analyzing the predicted behaviors of social competence that are conducted in real situations. Open-ended questions were asked to 78 undergraduate, 20 graduate students and 20 professionals in order to identify behavioral characteristics of students who are considered to have high levels of social competence. The survey with collected items from open-ended questions were distributed to 1,700 students from 14 colleges as subjects. The behavioral characteristics manifested in the form of social competence were summarized by the 7 latent factors; leadership, independency, sensitivity, sociability, warmth, autonomy and openness. Confirmatory factor analysis assessed the degree to which the plausibility of factor models was empirically confirmed and overall fit measures(CFI, NFI, NNFI, RMSEA) indexes showed the satisfying suitability of the model. All of the seven constructs were found to have significantly negative correlations with the psychopathological characteristics such as depression and anxiety. Implications of social competence in korea, preventive intervention of college student counseling and school guidance were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 암시적 이론의 접근법을 적용하여 실제 상황에서 표현되는 사회적 유능성의 예언행동을 통하여 사회적 유능성의 구성요인을 밝혀내는 것을 목적으로 진행되었다. 대학생 78명, 대학원생 20명, 상담전문가 20명을 대상으로 개방형 설문을 실시하여 사회적 유능성이 높은 대학생들의 특성을 수집한 후, 14개 대학교의 1,700명의 재학생을 대상으로 세 차례의 설문조사를 실시하여 사회적 유능성의 잠재적 구성요인을 추출하고 신뢰도와 타당도 검증을 실시하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과 사회적 유능성은 주도성, 독립성, 민감성, 사교성, 온정성, 자율성, 개방성 7개의 요인으로 명명되었고, 7요인 모형의 교차타당도 검증 결과 모형의 적합도 지수들은 모두 모형을 수용할만한 적합도로 권장되는 임계치를 만족시켰다. 사회적 유능성의 7개 요인은 높은 내적 일관성을 보였고, 우울, 불안 등 개인의 심리적 특성과 부적상관관계를 보였다. 마지막으로 한국적 문화에서 사회적 유능성 구성요인 탐색의 시사점과 대학생의 상담현장과 생활지도에서의 예방적 개입의 의미가 논의되었다.
