부모애착, 자동화 사고, 성역할정체감과 공격성의 관계 = Parental Attachment, Automatic Thoughts, Gender Role Identity as Variables Affecting Adolescent Aggression

The purpose of present study was to investigate parental attachment, automatic thoughts and gender identity as psychological variables affecting adolescent aggression in a sample of 347 high school and college students(172 females and 175 males). Parental attachment was correlated negatively with automatic thoughts and aggression while automatic thoughts correlated positively with aggression. The results revealed no gender difference both in automatic thoughts and aggression. However gender role identity was correlated with parental attachment positively and masculine and androgynous identity correlated with social anxiety cognition and depression cognition negatively while faminine identity had no correlation with automatic thoughts. In aggression masculine identity showed high correlation with physical aggression and verbal aggression while feminine identity showed negative correlation with physical aggression and androgynous identity with positive correlation with verbal aggression. Gender role identity and anger did not have any signigicant correlation. Only masculine identity showed negative correlation with hostility. Automatic thoughts were proved to be a mediating variable between parental attachment and aggression as gender role identity was. Path analysis provided automatic thoughts(β=.54), masculine role identity(β=.31), attachment to father(β=-.10) had direct mediating effects on aggression. Thus in study of aggression gender role identity is an important mediating factor as automatic thoughts between parental attachment and aggression.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 공격성 에 영향을 주는 변인으로서 부․모 애착, (부정적인)자동적 사고, 성역할 정체감과의 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 부모애착과 공격성 사이에서 자동적 사고와 성역할 정체감이 매개 역할을 한다는 경로 모델을 설정하고 이 심리적 변인들의 공격성에 대한 영향력을 보고자 하였다. 본 연구 결과에서 전반적으로 부모애착, 자동적 사고, 성역할 정체감, 공격성 사이에 높은 상관관계를 보였다. 경로분석에서는 부모애착이 자동적 사고와 성역할 정체감에 각각 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으나 자동적 사고는 성역할 정체감에 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 자동적 사고와 성역할 정체감 중 남성성이 공격성에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 부모애착과 공격성 사이에서 자동적 사고가 매개역할을 하고 부모애착과 공격성 사이에서 성역할 정체감이 매개 역할을 하지만 자동적 사고와 성역할정체감 사이는 무관하여 자동적 사고와 성역할 정체감이 공격성에 독립적으로 영향을 미친다고 할 수 있다. 경로분석결과 변인들의 공격성에 미치는 영향력은 직접효과로서 자동적 사고가 가장 컸으며(β=.54), 다음으로 남성성(β=.31), 부 애착(β=-.10)의 순으로 나타났다.
