As the significance of the elementary piano education has progressed with economical development, in the meaning of making life hard, elementary music education becomes a hot issue. From the view point of music education, as childhood is the period of the most proper and fast development, it is very important to take proper educational method. Therefore, in this thesis, I`ve studied about the more effective teaching plan of elementary piano education based on the teaching method by Dalcroze. Its components are Eurythmics, Solfege, and Improvisation of piano playing. This research has reached the following conclusions. The teaching plan of Eurythmics focuses on learning notations, rests, and a phrase and making children express them by moving their body. In this study, the fishing play is applied, and it`s meant to amuse to rise their interesting. The teaching plan applying Solfege focuses on gradational learning of playing scale. By using musical scales written down musical score, I taught both the method of reading and inner hearing training. suggest the evaluation method is suggested in final stage. The teaching plan of improvisation focuses on trying playing the piano with improvisatorial. First, the teacher guides the child to express their feelings with improvisatorial, And then the teacher selects some themes and makes them play impromptus. Finally, the teacher have students to write a description of their impression. In early childhood, music education should be learning musical rhythm and stimulating children`s curiosity out of cognitive learning. Through gradational learning of playing scale, the teacher should guide the children to improve their feeling of notes and score reading ability. In the guidance of improvisation of piano plying. the teacher should foster musical application abilities playing freely without any score. In oder to achieve these goal, Dalcroze method considering developmental stage of children and musical characteristics should be studied continually. Through this thesis, I expect to spread this method to entire age group.
