중등학교 현직체육교사교육의 비판적 검토와 반성적 모형의 개발 = A Critical Examination on the Inservice Physical Education Teacher Education Programs and the Development of a Reflective Model

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

It is well acknowledged that the quality of education is dependant upon the quality of teachers. The quality of teachers is dependant upon the quality of teacher education they receive. Thus the a nation`s teacher education programs are vitally important to the education of students. This study purports to examine current inservice PE programs and develop a reflective model. It is identified that in program organization and implementation, no directionality is found, no structural system is employed, and no connectedness is thought. There is little evidence that the inservice programs have clear goals, theoretically sound structure, and close connection with other programs. In order to overcome these problems, such recent teacher development ideas as the reflective teacher, the holistic teacher competencies, and the developmental teacher education perspective. Based on these ideas, a reflective inservice PE teacher development model is developed. In this model, four dimensions of teacher competence are developed through PE teacher`s lifetime. The aspects of skill, knowledge, emotion and character are continually improved in four stages of initiation, growth, maturity, and completion throughout teacher`s professional life.
