The purpose of this paper is to propose the principles of content selection in the evaluation of Korean Grammar. These days, lack of understanding for evaluating Korean Grammar has caused instability in grammatical area in the government-sponsored scholastic aptitude test. So it is raised the need for developing specific principles for content selection in evaluating Korean Grammar. To study those principles, analyzing learners` awareness on grammars is required first. So I use a method of ethnography in this paper. In conclusion, the principles are classified into three categories. (1) First category is a grammatical thinking power centered-principle. it is well known that the government-sponsored scholastic aptitude test has been centered on basic knowledge. It is not easy to evaluate learner`s grammatical ability with the exam. At this point, it is required to develop new tests that make is possible to encourage students to strengthen their grammatical thinking power. (2) Second factor is a learner centered-principle. Since subject of Korean grammar education is based on learners, and the government-sponsored scholastic aptitude test also has been focused on learners, tests should be able to give meaningful feedbacks to learners. (3) The last category is an integration centered-principle. The process of revision of Korean language curriculum has been emphasized the importance of integration of all area. In the same manner, the government-sponsored scholastic aptitude test should be designed to encourage integration among each test.
