보육교사 역할에 대한 인식 차이 = The Differences in Their Views on Teachers's Role between Child care Professors and Practitioners

The Differences in Their Views on Teachers's Role between Child care Professors and Practitioners Son, Tae-Ho The purpose of the current study was to explore the differences in their views on teachers's role between child care professors and practitioners. Through review of the literatures and theoretical analysis, this study first proposed the roles of child care teachers as three major categories, caregiving roles, instructional roles, and decision-making roles. And then, questionnaires of 5-step Likert rating scale were developed to examine the views of professionals on role requirements of child care centers and the relevant courses to perform the roles. The questionnaire for teachers' roles consisted of 118 questions. T-test were conducted to analyze the differences of views on teachers' roles between professor and practitioners. The results of the study were as follows: First, the comparison between child care practitioners and professors showed no significant difference in their views of child care teachers' roles.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 보육교사 역할에 대한 이론적 고찰 및 관련 선행 연구를 분석하여 보육교사의 역할을 크게 보호 역할, 교수 역할, 의사결정 역할로 구분하였고, 보육교사의 역할에 대한 보육전문가의 견해를 살펴보기 위해 총 118문항으로 구성된 보육교사 역할 분석 질문지를 사용하였으며, 분석 대상 질문지는 총 100부로 하였다. 보육교사 역할에 대한 보육전문가의 견해를 살펴본 결과, 보호 역할과 의사결정 역할에 비해 교수 역할을 가장 높게 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 보육전문가 간의 견해에는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타나 이들 모두 교수 역할의 중요성에 대해서는 일치된 견해를 보였다.
