정서지능 교육프로그램 모형 개발 연구 = A Study on the Development of an Education Model for Emotional Intelligence Programs

The purpose of this study is to develop a model for designing emotional intelligence education programs. To examine the validity of this model, an education program was designed and developed based on this model, and the effectiveness of the program was investigated in an empirical research.
In this study, the conceptual model was developed through the analysis of the psychological mechanism of emotional intelligence. Sub-components of emotional intelligence were extracted in this analysis. An emotional intelligence education program that is based on this conceptual model was developed, and the effectiveness of the program was assessed in a quasi-experimental research. A total of 164 five and six year old children from two kindergartens participated in the research. The treatment consisted of 20 courses which were carried out during 10 weeks. The children's emotional intelligence was compared between the experimental and control group, and the experimental group showed significantly higher scores than the control group on the emotional regulation scores. This result proves that the emotional intelligence education program developed in this study has effect on developing children's emotional intelligence.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 유아의 정서지능을 발달시키기 위하여 유아를 대상으로 한 정서지능 교육프로그램의 모형을 개발하는 데에 있다. 본 연구는 두 부분으로 나누어지는데, 첫 번째 연구는 유아를 대상으로 한 정서지능 교육프로그램 모형을 개발하고, 이를 바탕으로 정서지능 교육프로그램을 개발, 제작하는 것이고, 두 번째 연구는 개발된 정서지능 교육프로그램의 효과를 검증하는 것이다. 두 번째 연구를 통하여 첫 번째 연구에서 개발한 정서지능 교육프로그램 모형의 타당성을 입증할 수 있다. 본 정서지능 개념 모형은 능력별 수준이 구분되는 각 구성 요소의 발달에 초점을 두었고, 정서지능 4영역 모형에 따라 정서조절을 상위의 능력으로 보고 정서조절 능력 행동을 최종 목표로 하였다. 본 모형에 입각하여 정서지능 교육 프로그램을 설계․개발하고 만 5세와 6세 유아 164명을 대상으로 그 효과를 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 실험 집단과 통제 집단 사이에 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 이는 실험에 사용한 정서지능 교육프로그램이 유아의 정서 조절에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤음을 의미한다
