한국 성매매 특별방지법에 투영된 페미니스트 오리엔탈리즘 - 성노동자가 말할 수 있는가? = Feminism and Preventive Act of Prostitution - Can Sex Worker Speak?

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article is a critic on the feminism which projected the preventive act of prostitution. It is also another feminist`s voice to attempt in formulating a new feminist discourse and theory for sex work. Although prostitute`s lives and feminist voice to support prostitute`s rights have always existed, no one had listened. In order to talk there is a condition where there is a need of existence of someone who will listen. Here someone with the knowledge of feminism is requested. When feminist intellectuals represent prostitutes` lives and experience they must have a keen attention not to commit a fault. First there must be an understanding of the gap existence between prostitute and feminist intellectual. Even feminist intellectual producing feminism and criticizing patriarchal system cannot acknowledge prostitute`s experience and voice as the center of the feminism discourse, because she had the privilege in the society with a vision permeated with a man`s point of view. Prostitutes had never a chance to express themselves verbally nor even if they did, was it hard for them to be understood by others. The global capitalistic society get covered with many layers of ideological discourses, such as race, gender, class, culture and religion. This makes the representation of prostitute`s voices more difficult. Let`s represent prostitute` voices here. A sex worker said that I have a dream, I want to make it come true in the brothel. Why can her work not be a labour? What about the society that makes her dream become a dream?
