단기쉼터이용 가출청소년의 귀가 결정요인에 관한 생존분석 = Risk factors of family reunification for run-away youth

The purpose of this study was to examine the timing and the risk factors associated with the family reunification of youth who ran away from his home and resided in short-term youth shelter. The timing to family reunification was examined by plotting the Kaplan-Meier cumulative survival function and the Kaplan-Meier cumulative hazard function for family reunification. Cox proportional-hazards regression analysis was used to identify risk factors for family reunification of run-away youth. School registration status, relationship skills, family economic status that run-away youth recognized, family structure, reasons for run-away, the number of experiencing run-away, and routines to youth shelter were significantly associated with the hazard for family reunification. The findings of this study imply the importance of familial supportive system and integrative case managements for both run-away youth and his/her family members, especially his/her parents.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 단기쉼터에 입소한 가출청소년의 귀가 결정요인을 밝히고, 이들의 안전한 보호를 위한 대책을 논의하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 위해 Kaplan-Meier 분석과 비례위험회귀분석(Cox-proportional hazard regression)을 활용하여, 단기쉼터에 입소한 가출청소년의 자료(총 163명)를 분석하였다. 주요 연구결과를 살펴보면 가출청소년 중 50.3%가 귀가를 하였으며, 가출청소년의 학업상태, 대인관계기술, 가출청소년이 인지하고 있는 가족의 경제적 지위, 가족구조, 가출동기, 가출횟수, 쉼터입소경로가 유의하게 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과에 대한 제도적․실천적 함의를 살펴보면 단기쉼터에 입소한 가출청소년의 개인적 특성과 가출 관련 요인에 대한 정확한 정보수집, 사정을 통한 사례관리, 귀가를 위한 단기쉼터 서비스의 강화와 차별화된 퇴소유형을 고려해야 할 것이다.
