DEA를 이용한 단과대학의 효율성 분석 －A 대학교를 중심으로－ = The Efficiency Analysis of Colleges Using DEA－Focused on the Case of University ‘A’－

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Universities have recently been in difficult situation due to the pressure of education market opening and decreasing number of potential applicants for universities. This being the case, universities try to get competitiveness through differentiation of education, research and administrational service. It is most important to administer university as efficiently as possible.. Thus, we apply DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) to evaluate the efficiency of administration of university ‘A’. We first find the appropriate input and output measures based on literature review. We, then, get the input and output data for 13 colleges of university ‘A’ to do empirical analysis. We finally suggest the improvement for inefficiently administered college under input－oriented condition and output－oriented condition.It seems to us that output oriented condition(output maximization) is more reasonable condition for the efficiency analysis of university administration.
