Books of five rites and books of ritual and music produced in the Reign of King Yeongjo contain the core of the contents of national rituals policy operated at that time. The remarkable characteristics in those materials and main rituals was an enhancement of king`s participation. It is found that King personally took part in a full-scale national rituals. King Yeongjo tried to strengthen national rituals by participating in person and to reach an era of prosperity like an age of sage King Yao and Shun by reinforcing national rituals. In the process, books of five rites such as Gukjosok`oryeui, Gukjosok`oryeuibo, the part of ritual and music in Jeungbo munheon bigo, and Gukjoakjang, a collection of musical texts used in national rituals were compiled. In addition, old rituals were sought to recover by restoring the rituals such as Chingyeongnye (Plow-in-person Ceremony) and Chinjamnye(Sericulture Ceremony). These achievements became th ground of completion of books of national rituals such as Gukjo orye tongpyeon, and Chun`kwan tong`go, and book of Music like Siakhwaseong in the reign of King Jeongjo.
