초등학교 실과 교과를 통한 환경 교육의 방안 = A Strategy for Environmental Education through the Practical Arts Subject

The objectives of this study were to investigate the background of environmental education in the elementary school, to analyze the contents of the 7th curriculum of practical arts subject and other subjects, and to suggest strategies for developing contents related to the environmental education in the practical arts subject.
This study was carried out through review of literature, content analysis and discussion with panels of judges composed of experts in the related fields.
The major findings of the study were as follows;
First, it was identified through content analysis that contents related to the environmental education such as environmental conservation, resources, environmental hygiene has been included in the practical arts subject from the 1st curriculm to the 7th curriculum.
Second, it was also identified through content analysis that contents related to the environmental education such as environmental conservation, natural environment, artificial environment, resources, environmental hygiene were reflected in the 7th curriculum of the elementary school.
And lastly, the different strategies for developing contents related to the environmental education in the practical arts subject were suggested according to the characteristics of the units of the practical arts subject.
Based on the results of the study, recommends were suggested.
