정서 및 행동 문제를 나타내는 유아에 대한 연구 동향 및 문제행동 분석 = A Review of the Research on Young Children with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties

국문 초록 (Abstract)

유아에 대한 최근 5년간의 연구논문 78편을 분석하였다. 4개 학술지 전체 논문 빈도 중에서 유아에 대한 연구 논문은 약 13% 이며 총 23개의 연구주제가 다루어지고 있었다. 연구내용에 따라 유아를 위한 중재와 지원, 유아의 지원자를 위한 중재와 지원으로 구분할 수 있는데 유아를 위한 연구 중에는 문제행동에 대한 연구가 가장 활발하였으며, 유아의 지원자를 위한 연구는 진단을 주제로 한 연구가 가장 많이 이루어지고 있었다. 연구자들이 가장 많이 관심을 갖는 유아의 문제행동에 대한 시각과 관점을 파악하기 위하여 연구논문 12편을 개괄적으로 살펴보고 문제행동의 유형, 측정과정 및 방법, 문제행동의 정도를 세부적으로 분석하였다. 문제행동의 유형은 공격행동이 가장 많았으며,측정은 교사의 직접관찰방법을 가장 많이 사용하였다.문제행동의 심각성은 빈도와 지속시간에 따라 구분하였으나 대부분의 연구가 기준을 명시하지 않고 있었다.문제행동에 대한 연구논문을 분석한 결과 문제행동의 측정 시에는 다양한 환경과 요인을 고려한 종합적인 평가가 이루어져야 하며 문제행동 자체에만 초점을 맞추기보다는 포괄적인 차원의 긍정적 행동지원을 통해 대체행동을 교수하는것이 효과적임을 알 수 있었다. 유아의 정서 및 행동상의 문제를 바라보는 시각에 대한 논의와 함께 현장 적용을 위한 추후 연구 과제를 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper reviews 78 articles in major journals on emotional and behavioral disorders published from 2000 to 2004 that were related to young children with emotional and behavioral difficulties. The analyses showed that the research on young children with emotional and behavioral difficulties consisted of 13% of total articles of the 4 journals. The major topics were 23 and experimental research was the main method for the studies of young children with emotional and behavioral difficulties. The 78 articles contained several interventions for young children with difficulties who exhibited challenging
behaviors and for teachers or families supporting them. The interventions for the young children were mainly focused on challenging behaviors and the researches for teachers or families were on assessment of emotional and behavioral disorders.
12 experimental articles of the researches on the behavior problems of young children were analyzed in detail on the characteristics of types, measuring methods, and the degrees of the challenging behaviors. The main type of challenging behaviors was aggressive behaviors and the most frequently used measuring method was direct observation. However, criterion of the measurement was not specified in most articles. Finally, discussion of these analyses and suggestions for the future research on the field were presented.
