중도 지적장애학생의 상동행동 관련 중재 연구 동향 : 최근 10년간(1997-2006)의 국외 연구를 중심으로 = A Review of the Intervention Research on Intellectual Disabilities with Stereotyped Behavior

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 특수교육 현장에서 심각한 행동문제로 부각될 수 있는 ‘상동행동’에 대한 적절한 대처를 위한 중재 방법을 모색하기 위하여 최근 10년간 상동행동 감소를 목적으로 행해진 국외 중재연구 동향을 분석하였다. 두 개의 데이터베이스에서 검색한 논문 80편 중 중도의 지적장애를 대상으로 자기자극행동과 상동행동 감소를 위한 중재를 실시한 실험연구로 범위를 좁혔을 때 모두 18편의 논문이 검색되었다. 상동행동 중재 논문은 총 5개 저널에서 출간되고 있었으며, 최근 5년 동안 그 이전 5년간에 비해 출간편수가 절반으로 줄어들었다. 지적장애만 있는 경우보다 자폐를 겸한 지적장애 대상 연구가 2배 이상 많았고, 유아기와 아동기 대상 연구를 합하면 성인기과 청소년기 논문보다 3배가 많았다. 통계적 방법보다 단일대상연구방법이 선호되고 있었으며 중재방법으로는 대부분 ABA를 사용하여 특정한 ‘기술지도’를 하고 있었다. 상동행동 한 가지만을 중재 대상으로 하기보다는 다양한 행동을 종속변인으로 하였으며, 분석된 모든 논문들은 중재결과가 효과적이었음을 보고하였다. 상동행동 중재 연구 결과와 향후 연구 방향에 대하여 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper reviewed on intellectual disabilities with stereotyped behavior published from 1997 to 2006 in two major databases. 18 experimental articles of the researches on the stereotyped behavior were analyzed in detail on the characteristic of subjects, settings, measuring methods, dependent variables, and intervention methods. The analyses showed that the researches on intellectual disabilities with stereotyped behavior were published more than twice as many as researches in the first half of the ten years. Autism spectrum disorders with intellectual disabilities occupied the subjects of the researches than with intellectual disabilities only. Most of the researchers preferred the single subject design which used applied behavior analysis(ABA) to the group design. And they used multiple variables included stereotyped behavior. All of the articles reported the effectiveness of the interventions for the purpose of decreasing the appearance of the rates of the stereotyped behavior. Finally, discussion of these analyses and suggestions for the future research on the field were presented.
