This study was conducted to compare face validity of a Computerized Oral Test (COT) with that of a Face-Tu-Face Interview (FTFI) from test taker perspectives. The semi-structured interview was used for data collection. The results found that the FTFI was seen as a more authentic and valid test in the eyes of the students, In other words, the FTFI has higher face validity than the COT from test taker perspectives. This study also suggests that interaction with a person was the main cause of the students'favorable attitudes to the FTFI, unfamiliarity with the COT format was one of the causes of less favorable attitudes to the COT, and comfort (or less nervousness) was the major cause of favorable attitudes to the COT. Based on these findings, it can be asserted that it may be possible to make students have more positive attitudes towards both tests by constructing the FTFI in a way that would make the students less nervous and by adding more interactive functions to, and raising familiarity with, the COT.
