청소년의 우울수준에 따른 우울 대응 행동에 관한 연구 = A Study on Adolescents' Anti-depressive Coping Behaviors According to their Depression Level

In this study, a survey was conducted to determine the level of depression and anti-depressive coping behaviors of adolescents attending junior high schools and high schools located in Namyangju in 2006. For the survey, we used a questionnaire to examine peculiarities based on the population's sociology and behavioral and emotional peculiarities, a questionnaire for anti-depressive coping behaviors, and depression index (CES-D) .
The results of the study are as follows: First, the analytical result of the general tendencies of adolescents' level of depression and anti-depressive coping behaviors showed that adolescents' depression prevalence rate was 41.0%. Second, the level depression of female students was higher than that of male students, that of high school students higher than that of junior high students, and that of adolescents whose level of domestic economy is low was higher than that of those not. Third, the study showed that the more depressed the subjects became, the higher their preference of cognitive activity-oriented behaviors and individual activities. Forth, higher is the level of depression, cognitive activity-oriented, object-oriented, or personal-oriented behavior is done more frequently among anti-depressive coping behaviors. Fifth, though inter-personal and normal-level relationships are heplful to depressive and normal-level adolescents respectively, any of those is not helpful very much to major depressive adolescents. Based on such results, the study discussed the significance and limitations of the study and presented suggestions for future studies.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 청소년들의 우울수준을 파악하고, 우울할 때 행하는 행동 경향과 특성을 알아보고자 2006년 남양주시에 소재하고 있는 중,고등학교에 재학 중인 청소년들을 대상으로 우울수준 및 우울대응행동을 조사하였다.
본 연구를 통해 다음의 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 청소년의 우울증 유병률은 41.0%인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년의 우울수준은 남학생 보다 여학생이, 중학생 보다는 고등학생이, 가정경제 수준이 낮다고 지각할수록 우울수준이 높았다. 셋째, 우울대응행동에 있어서 우울수준이 높을수록 인지활동지향행동과 혼자하는 행동을 선호하는 비율이 더욱 높았다. 넷째, 우울 수준에 따른 우울대응행동 빈도는 우울수준이 높을수록 인지활동 지향행동, 대물지향행동, 혼자하는 행동을 더 자주하는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 우울 수준에 따른 우울 대응행동을 통하여 도움을 받는 정도는 우울증상 청소년은 대인관계지향행동을 통해, 정상수준 청소년은 인지활동 지향행동을 통해 가장 도움을 받으나 주요우울증 청소년은 두범주 모두에서 가장 도움을 받지 못하는 것으로 나타났다.
이상의 결과를 통하여 청소년의 우울수준과 우울수준에 따른 우울대응행동의 차이, 빈도, 도움정도를 알아 청소년 대상의 심리치료 및 상담에 도움이 되고자 한다.
