셀프 리더십 교육이 대학생의 셀프 리더십과 자존감 증진에 미치는 효과 = Effects of Self Leadership Education on College Students

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this suudy was to examine the effectiveness of self leadership education for college students. The subjects were 65 college students(experimental group=36; control group=29). The self-leadership education was employed two times a week for 13 weeks in the experimental group. As means of examining the effect of self-leadership education, self scoring seven habits profile and the Rosenberg self esteem inventory were employed. Also, self reflective journal of the experimental group students were analyzed.
The results of the research are as follows: First, self leadership education had a significant influence on self-leadership development of students. Specially, the students attended in leadership education were more proactive and goal-oriented than control group. Second, self leadership education had a significant influence on self esteem development for college students. Lastly, some implications for future research are drawn.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 대학생을 대상으로 셀프 리더십 교육의 효과를 밝히는 것이다. 한 개인의 리더십의 기초는 자기에 대한 바른 태도와 이해, 그리고 자기관리 능력을 들 수 있다. 본 연구는 셀프 리더십 교육을 받은 학생들이 그렇지 않은 학생들보다 셀프 리더십과 개인 내면의 자존감에서 어떠한 차이가 있는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 J 대학교 리더십 교과목을 수강한 1학년 36명을 실험집단으로, 리더십 교과목을 수강한 적이 없는 1학년 29명을 통제집단으로 하였으며, 리더십 교육은 15주에 걸쳐 26회 이루어졌다. 본 연구 결과 셀프 리더십 교육은 집단에 참여한 대학생들의 셀프 리더십을 증진하는데 효과가 있었다. 특별히 학생들은 셀프 리더십 하위 영역 중 ‘주도성’과 ‘목표 설정 및 실천’에서 유의미한 효과를 나타내 보였다. 또한 셀프 리더십 교육은 집단에 참여한 대학생들의 자존감에 유의미한 효과를 준 것으로 나타나 학생들이 교육을 통해 자신에 대해 더욱 긍정적으로 지각하게 되었음을 시사했다. ‘자기반성일지’ 분석 결과 학생들의 긍정적 자기 이해 및 자기 개발 능력에 관한 사고의 변화를 확인할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점과 함께 추후 연구방향을 제시하였다.
