The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between husband's perception of family strengths and marital satisfaction. Subjects were 202 husbands in Seoul. Family strengths, the dependent variable, was composed of fore factors, such as family commitment, family communication, family values, and family crisis coping strategies. Independent variables were the following : I)family socio-demographic variables, ii)marital satisfaction.
The mail findings were as follows;
1.The degree of husband's perception of family strengths was generally high. Among four factors of family strengths, the degree of family commitments was relatively higher and that of family values was relatively lower than the others.
2.The degree of husband's perception of family strengths had the strongest positive relations on marital satisfaction.
3.The variables which independently affected the family strengths had influence in the following order; marital satisfaction, family's spiritual health, marital lengths.
