The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between cultural value and eating-out value and to provide extensive understandings of consumers in Daejeon Metropolitan City, South Korea. Four hundred questionnaires from age-balanced quota sample of 500 consumers living in Daejeon Metropolitan City were utilized. Exploratory factor analyses were adopted to identify the underlying dimensions of cultural value and eating-out value respectively. Later canonical correlation analyses were adopted to examine the overall correlation between the extracted five underlying factors from the cultural value and the extracted four underlying factors from the eating-out value. The higher correlations were found between cultural value and eating-out value. In particular, the masculine factor of cultural value was highly correlated with intrinsic factor of eating-out value. And the managerial implications of these results are examined.
