직업선호도 검사 상담사례연구 = Vocational Counselling Guide with Vocational Preference Test

The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the use of the Vocational Preference Test to guide a counsellor how to apply it, that was founded on the Holland’s study for vocational preference. Hol\and’s study for vocational types that are ’Realistic (R)’, ’Investigation (1)’, ’Artistic (A)’, ’Social (S)’, ’Enterprising (E)’, and ’Conventional (C)’ type was summarized first. Specifically, characteristics and vocational preferences of the six vocational types in Holland’s model were examined. Next, client’s vocational preference type was evaluated using the Vocational Preference Test in real vocational counselling situation. The preference of each type of the six was measured by the test. and assigned a three digit code to a client according to the preference types of the client. The first digit of the code was decided by the initial of the highest score among the six types by the result of the test, and the second digit by the initial of the second highest score, and so on. Finally, to suggest a guidance of a vocational counselling, examples of Holland’s six types of vocational preference were given, and the processes of counsellings were discussed. In order to implement vocational counselling efficiently, client’s vocational interest needs to be explOl'잉 objectively as well as his vocational career, education level, and current situation are considered. The result of the Vocational Preference Test can be 뻐ed as very helpful information to counsel a client for his vocational choice.
