작문교육 질적 연구 방법의 경향 분석 및 개선 방안 탐색 = Analysis of the trend in qualitative research in writing education and suggestions for improving the qualitative research

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 들어 구성주의적 인식론에 기초한 질적 교육 연구가 확산되고 국내 작문교육 연구에서도 그러한 경향이 나타남에 따라 이 연구에서는 국내외 작문교육 분야의 질적 연구 논문에 대한 분석을 통해 국내 작문교육 연구의 질 제고 방안을 탐색하였다. 먼저 문식성 연구 분야에서 국제적으로 알려진 네 개의 학술지 최근호에서 각각 작문교육 관련 논문을 한편씩 선정하여 질적 연구를 실행하고 이를 논문에 기술하는 과정에서 나타나는 공통된 특성을 크게 다섯 가지 항목으로 요약해 보았다. 이 분석 결과를 토대로 이 논문의 후반부에서는 그동안『작문연구』에 게재된 총 135편의 논문을 분석하여 그 중 질적 연구 방법을 취한 22편의 논문을 대상으로 작문교육 연구와 이를 논문에 게재하는 과정에서 개선해야 할 항목들을 점검해 보았다. 이를 통해 연구 문제를 명시적으로 기술하고, 연구 방법 장을 독립적으로 기술하며, 다양한 데이터를 통해 삼각검증을 실시하고, 연구자의 역할에 대해 명시적으로 기술하는 것등을 우선적인 개선안으로 제시해 보았다. 더불어 질적 연구의 질 제고를 위해 대학원 과정에서 방법론 관련 과목을 확대하고 학계의 논문 심사 과정에서 방법론의 평가 항목을 보다 상세화하는 등 여건 개선을 위한 방안도 다각도로 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As qualitative writing research based on constructionist epistemology has increased in Korean education, this study aimed to find a suggestion to improve the validity of qualitative research done in writing education area in Korea. By analyzing 4 articles from international research journals and 22 Korean qualitative research articles on writing education published in the Research on Writing of Korean Writing Association. This study suggested, based on the analysis of the articles, that Korean research articles need to describe research questions more clearly, describe method chapter separately, collect multiple data sources for triangulation, and clarify researcher`s role during the research period. Also suggested were the need to increase the number of method classes in graduate schools and more strict evaluation procedure and more detailed criteria on the validity of the paper.
