According to literature in public administration, job satisfaction would affect effectiveness of public administration. This study is to explore the relationship between job satisfaction and the welfare system for government employees in Korea. Relatively, the personnel-tailored welfare system has more effects on job satisfaction than the pension system does. That is, government employees in Korea are more interested in benefits from the welfare system. And, by types of task, the employees have different satisfaction levels from the welfare system. Therefore, the welfare system should be improved with consideration of types of task of the employees.
