어머니의 성격유형과 놀이참여 형태에 따른 유아의 사회성 발달과의 관계 = The Effects of Mother's Personality Types and Participation Patterns in Plays on Children's Social Development

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of mother's personality types and participation patterns in plays on children's social development to provide children with good environment for plays. For this investigation, three hundred and thirty three and thirty three 4 and 5 year old kindergarten children and their mothers in Deagu participated. The respective questionnaires made by Smilansky et al. and Brigg et al. were used for the evaluations of mother's participation patterns in plays and mother's personality types. Also the questionnaire made by Pease et al. was used for the examination of children's social development. Data were statistically analyzed.
As the results, mother's participation in plays regardless of the patterns made both girls and 4 year old children do more physical plays than both boy and 5 year old children. Mother's outgoing personality made children more effective social development than her introversive e personality. Constructive plays made children the most effective social development. Therefore, these results suggest that the roles of mothers are very important for children's social development.
