손인형 극화활동이 유아의 마음이론 발달과 사회적 행동에 미치는 효과 = The Effect of the Hand-puppet Drama Activity on Young Children's Development of Theory of Mind and Social Behavior

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the hand-puppet dramatic activity on young children’s development of theory of mind and social behavior. The subjects used in this study were 40 five-year-old children and were randomly assigned to an experiment group and a contrast group.
The hand-puppet dramatic activity was treated to the experiment group while the discussion activity was provided to the contrast group. It used 'Inventory of Young Children’s Theory of Mind’ and ‘Bronson Social and Task Skill Profile’ in the collection of data, and a t-test was used to analyze the data. It was revealed that there were significant differences between the experiment group and the contrast group in the development of theory of mind and social behavior. The score of the experiment group was significantly higher than the score of the contrast group in the development of theory of mind. Also, the score of the experiment group was significantly higher than the score of the contrast group in social behavior. The results of this study indicate that the hand-puppet dramatic activity is effective to promote young children’s development of theory of mind and social behavior.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 손인형 극화활동이 유아의 마음이론 발달과 사회적 행동에 미치는 효과를 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 만 5세 유아 40명이었으며, 실험집단과 비교집단을 무선 배정하였다. 실험집단에는 동화를 활용한 손인형 극화활동을 처치하였고 비교집단에는 동화를 듣고 교사와 또래 간의 토의활동을 제공하였다. ‘마음이론검사’ 도구와 ‘Bronson 사회적 행동’ 척도를 사용하여 연구 자료를 수집하였으며, 수집된 연구 자료는 t-test를 통해 실험처치의 효과를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 실험집단 유아들의 마음이론과 사회적 행동 점수가 비교집단 유아들의 점수들보다 유의하게 높은 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 본 연구결과는 손인형 극화활동이 유아의 마음이론 발달과 사회적 행동 증진에 효과가 있음을 시사하는 것이라 하겠다
