학교 인권교육 강화 및 교사의 인권교육 역량 증진에 관한 연구 = A Study on Improvement of Human Rights Education in Schools and Strengthening the Teachers Abilities of Human Rights Education

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Nowadays in Korea, we have the urgent and serious problem - school violence. So, in this essay, I tried to inquire and suggest some ways to deal with and overcome the problem with considering the notion of human rights. The main ideas of the essay are as follows. Firstly, we need to know that if we forget or neglect human rights, the barbarous behaviors like school violence can always occur and appear in our society. So, we should newly recognize the importance and value of human rights, human rights education and running the community of school based on human rights. Secondly, for managing and operating the school as the human rights community, we need to mobilize and apply the integrated mode of four approaches: to strengthen the human rights education in schools, to increase the teachers` abilities of human rights education, to make and develop the human rights-friendly society in Korea, and to realize the inherent nature of education in schools. Lastly, it`s very important to secure teachers who have the appropriate abilities of human rights education. Therefore, we should teach the teachers college students about human rights, the necessary theories, and the practical capacities that are related to human rights education. In addition, we need to develop the human rights-friendly culture of teachers colleges and give the in-service teachers the sufficient opportunities to have good experiences and appropriate abilities related human rights education.
