칸트와 듀이 예술이론의 메타프락시스적 해석 = An Metapractical Interpretation of I. Kant and J. Dewey`s Theories of Art

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this study is to examine the educational meaning that judgment of taste and an experience as the core conceptions of I. Kant and J. Dewey`s theories of art may have, and show the educational viewpoints in general which are implied in them. I think that the concept of metapraxis provides a clue of what these viewpoints mean. As well known, Dewey`s concept of an experience is based on aesthetic quality as the condition of it. The so-called qualitative thought refers to ours capacity of mind used to that quality. According to Dewey, however, qualitative thought is not acquired by reflective thought but common experience, that is, the situation of practical problem-solving. In contrast to that, judgment of taste aims ideas, but it does not unrelated to concepts. Ideas is presupposed in concepts, and therefore we can say that Ideas is acquired through the process of concepts acquisition According to the meaning of metapraxis, the practice of practice, Dewey thinks that education and educational theory are determined by the practice of (private) interest-pursuit, but Kant thinks they are determined by the practice of mind-cultivation.
