장애이미지, 장애원인 및 서비스 제공방법에 대한 특수교육관련 종사자의 인식 비교 = Perception Differences among Special Education Personnels: Focusing on Images of and Attributed Causes of Disabilities and Service Options for Students with Disabilities

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to compare the perception toward disabilities among special education personnels, especially focusing on images of and attributed causes of and service options for students with disabilities. Participants were 97 special education teachers, 98 general education teachers and 93 paraprofessionals working at special schools and elementary schools in Seoul, Inchon and Gyeonggi. The questionnaires were organized based on modified version of the Situational Attitude Scale, Handicapped Version(SASH) and the Disability Attribution Scale. In this study were made use of frequency analysis, descriptive statistics and was conducted one-way ANOVA. The findings were as follows: On the images of disabilities were there significant differences among special education teachers, general teachers and paraprofessionals by combining 5 cases of disabilities and respectively. On the attributed causes of disabilities were there significant differences among special education personnels in some subfactors of causes of disabilities. On the service options for persons with disabilities was there no significant difference among special education personnels by combining 5 cases of disabilities. However, according to each case were there significant differences in some subfactors of services options for students with disabilities. These results indicated that it is needed for special education personnels to narrow the gaps of the perception and to enhance positive perception toward disabilities. And follow-up studies should be continued to reduce the gaps of these perceptions and to increase the necessary supports for enhancing collaboration among related special education personnels for quality education for all students.
