지역사회 시민의 참여활동과 영향요인

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 시민의 참여활동의 현황을 분석하고, 참여에 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 요인을 검토함으로써 지역사회에서 시민의 참여를 진작시키는 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 시민 개인적 수준의 요인과 제도적 수준의 요인으로 크게 구분하고, 전자에는 시민역량, 시민적 태도를 후자에는 공직자의 태도 및 참여시스템과 구조적 요인들에 대한 변수들을 포함하였다. 분석결과 시민의 참여역량으로서 참여기술, 시민의식, 참여경험과 시민적 태도로서 정치효능감, 신뢰, 지역사회 운영에 대한 만족 수준은 제도적 요인들과 함께 참여 유형에 따라 유의미하고 직접적인 영향력을 발휘하는 것으로 나타났다. 다만 참여 유형에 따라 중요하게 영향을 미치는 요인들은 차별적이었다. 시민의 참여기술은 참여의 기본적 역량으로 작용하였고 시민 의식과 태도는 참여의 난이도가 높아짐에 따라 잠재력을 발휘하는 것으로 나타났다. 제도와 구조적 요인들은 관습적/비관습적 참여의 양상을 선택하는데 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다.
