이주여성의 경제활동의지 결정요인분석 : 이주여성의 정책인지수준과 지역사회다문화태도 인식을 중심으로 = The Vital Factors of Married Immigrant Women's Decision Making About Economic Action

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this study is to explain what factors affect decision-making of married immigrants on the basis of multiculturalism. There is limited research for sustainable local development policy to achieve through immigrants’ the establishment of a business. Therefore, this research focuses on multiculturalism, multicultural policy and the decision factors of the establishment of a business on the basis of previous studies.
This study defines the decision factors of the establishment of a business not only with demographical characteristics such as job experience, age, education, but also local social factors and policy perception factors that result from immigrants.
The result of the study shows that there is difference between immigrants and the others in terms of the decision factors of the establishment of a business. However, demographical factors such as experience of an establishment of a business, job experience, age have no significant effect on decision of the establishment of a business. Rather, the lesser the perception of cultural discrimination, the more the intention of the establishment of a business. Additionally, immigrants, who think they understand about Asia cultural-oriented city policy, are more passionate about the establishment of a business than non-immigrants.
In conclusion, this study shows that local governments need to understand about a variety of cultures and open up local society to recognize the importance of constructive public relations and immigrants’ trust about policy in order to reduce social cost, which European countries are struggling with.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 다문화사회 이민자로서 이주여성들의 창업의지결정에 영향을 주는 요인을 살펴보고, 특히 이주여성의 경제활동참여와 관련된 지역정책에 대한 인지수준 및 지역사회 다문화태도에 대한 이주여성의 인식이 경제활동 참여의지를 갖는데 어떠한 영향을 주는가 설명하고자 하였다.
이를 위해 선행연구 분석에서는 다문화정책현황 및 광주광역시의 이주여성 일자리 관련 정책에 대해 살펴보고, 창업의지결정에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 이민자의 창업의지에 영향을 주는 요인으로 경력, 나이, 창업경력, 교육수준 등 개인적인 특성뿐만 아니라, 다문화사회의 이민자라는 특성 때문에 나타나는 사회·심리적 요인과 정책인지요인을 추가하였다.
실증분석결과 이민자의 창업의지에 영향을 미치는 요인은 일반시민의 창업의지에 영향을 주는 요인과 차이가 있었다. 이민자의 모국에서 창업경력, 전문가 경력, 나이 등은 영향을 주지 않았다. 개인특성요인 중에서는 교육수준만 의미가 있었다. 오히려 주목할 점은, 사회·심리적 요인에서 문화적 차별 경험이 적을수록, 시민사회가 다문화에 대해 개방적이라고 인지할수록 이민자는 창업의지를 갖고 있었다는 점이다. 또한, 창업에 영향을 줄 수 있는 관련지역정책(아시아문화중심도시정책사업)에 대해서 잘 알고 있다고 생각할수록 문화를 활용한 창업의지가 높았다.
본 연구결과는 한국이 서구유럽에서 나타난 다문화사회의 사회적 비용을 줄이고 이민자들과 함께 초고령화 저출산 시대를 슬기롭게 대처하기 위해서는, 지역사회의 개방성과 문화적 다양성에 대한 이해, 관련정책에 대한 적극적인 홍보와 정책신뢰 확보 등이 우선되어야 한다는 것을 보여준다.
