청소년 봉사활동이 자아존중감과 자아탄력성을 매개로 공동체 의식과 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향 -봉사활동 시간과 주관적 만족을 중심으로- = The effects of youth volunteering on community consciousness and Life satisfaction mediated by self-esteem and ego-resilience

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Adolescence is an important time when physical, psychological and social change and maturity is made. Volunteer activity is a major factor that has a positive effect on various developments of adolescence and the government systemizes the youth volunteer activity for the balanced development in the adolescence and reflects it on the entrance in the upper level of schools. This study is intended to verify how the effect of volunteer activity such as self-esteem, ego-resilience, community consciousness and life satisfaction differently appears depending on the quantity and the quality of volunteer activity, and examine about a causal relationship between effects. For the purpose, this study analyzed data for 1,426 youths who have experiences participating in volunteer activity in the first year for the first panel of the youth panel survey for Korean children and youths as a model of Structural Equation. As the result of study, service time has not significant effect on self-esteem and ego-resilience, whereas satisfaction level of service has a significant effect on self-esteem and ego-resilience. In addition, as the result of examining effect of service time and satisfaction level of service on community consciousness and life satisfaction through self-esteem and ego-resilience, service time has not significant effect in respect of indirect effect and total effect, and satisfaction level of service has a significant effect in respect of indirect effect and total effect. Namely, a variable of service time has almost no significant effect on effectiveness of volunteer activity such as self-esteem, ego-resilience, community consciousness and life satisfaction, whereas satisfaction level of service has a significant effect on 4 variables. This study suggested methods for performing further effective youth volunteer activity on these results of research.
