청소년의 제17대 대통령선거 참여경험 분석 = A Study on the Youth Participatory Experience in the 17th Presidential Election

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the youth participatory experience in the 17th presidential election. More specifically, firstly, it is to examine the real state of precedent factors, (cognitive and active)participatory experience, and change of political consciousness. It is, secondly, to analyse the effects of precedent factors on the cognitive and active participatory experience. Finally, it is to analyse the effect paths of precedent factors, cognitive and active participatory experience on the change of political consciousness. The sample was 716 high school students in Seoul. Analyses of mean, t-test, multiple regression and path analysis were conducted. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, each mean(SD) of precedent factors is political knowledge 2.56(.91), political interest 2.64(1.06), political efficacy 2.30(1.06), social participatory experience 2.53(.82), political education 2.06(1.06), using media 3.05(1.05). Secondly, social participatory experience, political interest, using media have positive effect on cognitive participatory experience. Only cognitive participatory experience has positive effect on active participatory experience. Finally, political education has positive effect on the change of political trust, but cognitive participatory experience has negative effect. Using media, social participatory experience, and political efficacy has positive effect on the change of political tolerance. Using media, social participatory experience, cognitive participatory experience, and active participatory experience have positive effect on the change of political efficacy. Social participatory experience, political interest, and cognitive participatory experience have positive effect on the change of political participation will. Political efficacy, cognitive participatory experience have positive effect on the change of preference for democracy.
