학급자치활동이 초등학생의 법의식에 미치는 영향 = The Effect of Self-Govemed Oass Activity on the Law-consciousness in Elementary School students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 법교육의 바탕이 되는 법의식을 초등학생에게 함양시키기 위하여 초등학교 3학년을 대상으로 교육과정 운영상의 특별활동 시간을 활용하여 학급자치활동을 운영하고 그 활동이 법의식에 어떤 영향을 미쳤는지를 연구하였다. 초등학교 교육과정상의 특별활동 영역의 자치활동 시간에 운영할 수 있는 법교육 활동으로 ‘학급자치활동’을 개념화하고, 이를 ‘학급 규칙 실천 활동’과 ‘법적 사고력 향상 활동’의 두 가지 활동으로 구체화하고 두 활동의 목표를 ‘법의식 향상’에 두어 활동을 구성하고 실행하였다. 그리고 기존의 법의식 조사 도구를 분석하여 초등학생의 법의식을 조사 할 수 있는 도구로 활용하였다.
초등학교 3학년 두 학급을 대상으로 학급 규칙 실천 활동과 법적 사고력 향상 활동을 적용하고 적용 전과 후의 법의식을 조사하여 학생의 법의식에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지 연구하였고, 동일한 활동이 성별에 따라서 어떤 영향을 미쳤는지 분석하였다.
연구 결과 학급자치활동의 세부 활동인 ‘학급 규칙 실천 활동’과 ‘법적 사고력 향상 활동’은 모두 학생들의 법의식 향상에 영향을 미쳤다. 그리고 두 활동 중에서 ‘학급 규칙 실천 활동’이 ‘법적 사고력 향상 활동’보다 더 큰 법의식 향상을 가져왔다. 법의식 향상에 남, 여 차이를 분석하면 남 여 모두에게 법의식 향상을 가져왔으며 특히 학급 규칙 실천 활동은 여학생의 법의식 향상에 좀 더 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

"Ubi societas ibi ius., where there is society, there is a law." This shows that every society where people are living together has its own law. Even though the law is tangible or intangible every society needs a law-observance. The democratic law system is one of key concepts maintaining and developing democracy. This system can be realized when people try to solve the daily problems with the law consciousness and law fairness. the law-related education is bringing up students to be citizens who posses the law consciousness and the ability of solving law problems required as the disposition of democratic citizen. This thesis research on how the special activity classes are managed in regular curriculum effect on law consciousness to cultivate the law consciousness which is the base of law-related education.
First, the concepts of law-related education and law consciousness are manifested through reviewing the related literatures and then, this research conceptualizes the 'self-Governed more, concrete is the Practical Activity of Class Rule and Advanced Activity of Law Recognition. Finally this research develops the instrument of elementary school students's law consciousness scale.
I apply the Practical Activity of Class Rule and Advanced Activity of Law Recognition to the different elementary 3rd grade classes and compare the differences between the two classes' activity results and the analysis of the results includes student's law consciousness with gender difference.
This research shows us that first, the Practical Activity of Class Rule and Advanced Activity of Law Recognition as self-governed class activity effect on the student's law consciousness development.
Second, the Practical Activity of Class Rule is more effective to cultivate the law consciousness than Advanced activity of Law Recognition Lastly, these activities contribute to develop boys and girls students' law consciousness especially the practical activity of class rule empowers girl students' to develop the law consciousness. I think that this research can be contributed to concrete the elementary school student's law consciousness and hepl students to solve the daily problems related law consciousness.
