미술표현과 창의성 인지에 관한 논의 = Discussion for Inter-relationship between Creativity, Cognition and Art Expression

국문 초록 (Abstract)

미술표현에서 창의성은 학생들에게 새로운 가치를 부여하거나 새로운 경험을 통해 표현적 창의성에서 발명적 창의성, 혁신적 창의성이 되도록 하는 것으로 이를 통해 학생들의 미술적 지식이 축적되고 미적안목과 미적능력이 개발되며 자아실현이 이뤄진다. 학생들은 미술표현을 통해 사물을 지각하고 인지하며 사고하면서 시각언어를 통해 독특하고 새로운 방식으로 세상을 만나고 경험한다. 시각언어는 주제, 매체, 표현방법, 조형요소와 원리 등이 어우러지면서 독특한 배치와 형식을 지닌다. 매체를 어떻게 처리하고 배치하고 집합하고 조율하는가 하는 것들은 인지와 직접적으로 관계되며 창의적 미술표현으로 이끈다. 미술표현과 창의성, 인지의 상호관계를 학습자, 교사, 교육과정, 창의적 문제해결, 동기부여를 중심으로 논의를 전개하며 학생들의 표현과 상징적 기호체계가 인지와 밀접한 관계가 있음을 조명한다. 미술표현에서 학생들의 인지가 창의적인 사고를 형성하고 표현활동의 역량이 되도록 학습의 상호작용이 강화되어야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The creativity in art expression through various art activities with mediums gives students to endow new values and ideas which lead students’ art works from the expressive creativity further to inventive creativity or innovative creativity. Students’ art activities allow developing students’ artistic judgment, aesthetic sense, and aesthetic ability more deeply besides accumulating art knowledge.
In here, I discuss several matters including learners’ creativity, teachers’ creativity, art curriculum, cognition, perception, creative solving problem, and students’ internal and external motivations upon the inter-relationship between creativity, cognition and art expression. Regarding perception and cognition, I illuminate the theory of Croce, Heidegger, Arnheim and Goodman. Students who see the objects more precisely with creative thoughts try to use new and unique methods and see the world more openly. Students’ art works shows students’ own experiments and thoughts, ideas in which become a present as now.
In conclusion, students’ art expressions, and their visual language and symbolic sign systems deeply connect to students’ own cognition. And students’ cognition informed students’ ability to perform their art works skillfully with their creative thinking. Students’ art expression should reinforced observation, metaphor, along with students’ own experience in daily lives in order to improve their creativity in art expressions.
