관광개발에 대한 지역주민과 관광객의 태도 차이 = The Differences of Host's and Guest's Attitudes Toward Tourism Development

This study focus on how to explain the different expectant attitudes toward tourism impacts from the proposed tourism development between the hosts and guests at introduction tourism development stage. The analysis is based upon 143 questionnaires returned by residents (:hosts) and 149 questionnaires returned by visitors (:guests) of Tae-back, Kangwon Province. It was found that the hosts indicated higher expectant attitudes than the guests in terms of positive socio-cultural impacts and positive environmental impacts, however negative environmental impacts was shown higher on the guests than the hosts. Also, regarding positive and negative economic impacts, the hosts indicated higher attitudes than the guests in part of items, and the attitudes of negative socio-cultural impacts have no differences between the guests and the hosts. In conclusion, the hosts' expectant attitudes toward positive tourism impacts from the proposed tourism development was higher than the guests', however their position was reversed in terms of negative environmental impacts.
