아동이 지각하는 부/모의 심리적 통제와 아동의 내외향적 성격특성에 따른 자기결정성 및 학업성적의 차이 = The influence of children`s perceived paternal/maternal psychological control and intra-extraversion characteristics on their self-determination and school achievement

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The primary purpose of this study is three-folds: The first is to investigate if there is any difference between the groups of high and low perceived paternal /maternal psychological control in their self-determination and school achievement. The second is to study if there is any difference between the two comparative groups of intra-extraversion characteristics in their perceived paternal/maternal psychological control, self-determination, and school achievement. The third is to investigate if the factors of children`s perceived paternal/maternal psychological control and their intra-extraversion characteristics have influence interactively on their self-determination and school achievement. The subjects of this study were 385, 5th or 6th graders residing in either Seoul or KyungKi area. The results are following: First, The children`s self-determination was significantly higher when their perceived paternal/maternal psychological control was low than when those were high. Second, The children`s school achievement was higher when their perceived paternal/maternal psychological control. Only the difference between the groups of high and low perceived maternal psychological control was significant. Finally, a significant interaction effect of the children`s perceived paternal control and their intra-extraversion characteristics on their self-determination was found. The application of this study to parenting behavior was discussed.
