철학적 탐구 공동체 활동이유아의 비판적 사고에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of the Community of Philosophical Inquiryon Improvement of Preschoolers' Critical Thinking

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 철학적 탐구 공동체 활동이 유아의 비판적 사고에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 것이다. 6세 43명이 참여하였으며, 실험집단 유아들은 주 3회 12주간 36회 철학적 탐구 공동체 활동을 하였다. 공변량분석과 χ2 검증을 이용하여 자료 분석 하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 철학적 탐구 공동체 활동은 6세의 비판적 사고 향상에 효과적이었다. 명료화하기, 이유대기, 전제 탐색하기, 포함․범주하기, 결론짓기, 대안 찾기에서 철학적 탐구 공동체 활동을 실시한 실험 집단이 통제 집단보다 사후검사에서 이들 요인의 점수가 높았다. 둘째, 철학적 탐구 공동체 활동의 횟수가 증가할수록 철학적 토론에서 나타난 유아의 비판적 사고는 네 가지 주제인 친구, 사랑, 생각, 도움에서 활용되는 정도가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 다소 주제와 비판적 사고 요인에 따라 토론의 초기와 중기에서 나타나는 형태의 차이는 있지만 토론의 후기에서 활용 정도가 상승하는 형태를 보여주고 있다. 이러한 연구결과는 철학적 탐구 공동체 활동이 유아의 비판적 사고 능력을 향상시키는 교육 프로그램으로 활용 가능함을 시사한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigated the effects of the community of philosophical inquiry on improvement of preschooler's critical thinking. The subjects were 43 six years old, 22 for the experimental and 21 for control group. The children in the experimental group joined in the activity of philosophical inquiry community during 12 weeks. The examinations of the test of critical thinking of young children and frequency of critical thinking used in the philosophical discussion about theme of friend, love, thinking and helping. The data were analyzed by ANCOVA and χ2 test. The results of this study were that the community of philosophical inquiry was effective to improve the critical thinking of younger children. The implication of this results were discussed in relation to the possibility teaching critical thinking at the early childhood and the development of the appropriate teaching methods based on philosophical inquiry and inquiry community.
