재가 노인의 우울에 따른 자살생각과 관련요인 = Suicide Ideation and Related Factors According to Depression in Older Adults

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study was to identify suicidal ideation and related factors according to depression in the aged of urban areas. Subjects in the study were 302 community residents in Daegu who were over 61 years old. The instruments for this study were scale for suicidal ideation, family relations, CED-depression and family inventor of life events and changes. Descriptive statistics, χ2-test, t-test, Pearson' correlation coefficient, hierarchial multiple regression with SPSS program were used to analyze the data. There were statistical differences in suicidal ideation, family relationship, stress and health status between those who experience depression and those who do not. In depression group, suicidal ideation was negatively related to family relationship and health status, and positively related to stress. Significant factors influencing on suicidal ideation were family relationship, stress and health status in depression group. Health care providers have to considerate depression factor as a useful information in order to develope suicidal prevention program on old age. Such as, depression prevention program is necessary for high risk of suicidal elderly.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 도시 재가 정상노인과 우울노인간의 따른 자살생각, 가족관계, 스트레스 및 건강 상태의 차이와 관계정도를 확인하고 우울노인의 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 변수를 파악하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상자는 대구지역에 거주하는 만 60세 이상의 노인 302명이었으며, 설문지 조사를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 연구 결과는 우울노인군이 정상노인군보다 자살생각과 스트레스 변수에서 유의하게 높은 점수를 보였고, 가족관계와 주관적 건강상태 변수에서는 우울노인군이 정상노인군보다 유의하게 낮은 점수를 보였다. 우울노인군에서 자살생각은 가족관계와 주관적 건강상태와 역상관관계를, 스트레스와 순상관관계를 보였다. 우울노인군에서 가족관계가 나쁠수록, 스트레스가 높을수록, 건강상태가 좋지 않다고 인지할수록 자살생각이 높았으며, 모델의 설명력은 69.6%이었다. 결론적으로 건강상태가 좋지 못하고 가족관계가 원만하지 않은 노인이거나 사회적 지지가 부족한 노인에 대해 자살위험을 우선적으로 사정하는 일이 중요하다는 점을 시사하고 있으며, 이를 바탕으로 하여 앞으로 노인의 자살예방을 위한 간호중재 프로그램 개발시 바람직한 방향을 설정하는데 기여할 것이다.
