여성노인의 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 성공적 노화의 구성요소 = Factors of Successful Aging Affecting the Life Satisfaction of Older Women

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study uses Rowe and Kahn's successful aging model which consists of avoiding disease and disability, high cognitive and physical function, and engagement with life. It examines how these three factors of successful aging affect the life satisfaction of older women. The target population of this study is older women who are older than 60 and reside in Daegu and Kyungbuk province. The sample size of this study is 310. To examine the age group(60+: young old, 70+: middle old, 80+: old old) differences, ANOVA are used. To check the difference by marital status and residental status, t-test and χ2 are used. To test the effect of the factors of successful aging on the life satisfaction, hierarchical multiple regression is used. When using hierarchical multiple regression, aging, marital status and residential status are controlled. The research results indicate that there are statistically significant differences of perceived health, IADL, ADL, education and social isolation by age groups. Also, there are statistically significant differences of physical and cognitive activities such as IADL, ADL, education and social isolation by marital status. Furthermore, there are statistically significant differences between IADL, education and social isolation by residential status. The factors which consist of successful aging explain about 40% of variance of the life satisfaction. The perceived health, education, job and religious activity affect the life satisfaction positively and the social isolation affects the life satisfaction negatively. There are statistically different effect of the residential status on the life satisfaction.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 Rowe와 Kahn의 성공적 노화 모델을 사용하여 질병과 장애의 예방, 신체·인지기능, 사회활동참여 등의 성공적 노화요소가 여성노인의 삶의 만족을 얼마나 설명하는지를 조사한 것이다. 본 연구의 대상은 대구, 경북의 지역사회에 거주하는 60세 이상 여성노인 310명이다. 노인의 연령은 60세 이상을 초기노인, 70세 이상을 중기노인, 80세 이상을 후기노인으로 하여 연령군에 따른 성공적 노화요소의 차이를 조사하기위해 ANOVA 검증을 하였고 배우자유무 및 가족과의 동거여부에 따른 성공적 노화요소의 차이를 보기위해 t-검증과 카이자승검증을 사용하였다. 성공적 노화요소의 삶의 만족도에의 영향력을 검증하기위해 위계적 회귀분석을 사용하였으며 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 연령, 배우자유무, 가족과의 동거여부가 통제변인으로 사용되었다. 연구결과에 의하면 연령군에 따라 인지건강, 신체활동수준, 교육수준 및 사회적 소외는 유의미한 차이를 보이고 있다. 배우자유무 및 가족과의 동거여부에 따라 신체·인지기능과 교육, 사회적 소외는 유의미한 차이를 보이고 있다. 성공적 노화의 세 구성요소인 장애 및 질병, 신체·인지기능, 적극적 사회활동참여는 삶의 만족도 변량을 약 40%정도 설명하고 있다. 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 변수는 인지건강, 교육, 직업활동, 종교활동 등이며 사회적 소외는 낮을수록 삶의 만족도를 높였고 가족과의 동거여부는 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는데 유의미한 차이가 있었다.
