서비스 질과 클라이언트 만족도가 정신보건사회복지서비스 성과에 미치는 영향 = Influence of Service Quality and Client Satisfaction on the Psychiatric Social Work Service Outcomes

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 서비스 질과 클라이언트 만족도가 정신보건사회복지서비스 성과에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 조사하여, 서비스 성과의 관리를 통한 정신보건사회복지실천의 효과성을 높이기 위한 전략을 모색하는 데 있다. 조사의 대상은 정신보건기관을 이용하는 384명의 정신장애인이었으며, 자기기입식 설문초사방식으로 자료의 수집이 이루어졌다. 주요한 연구내용으로 첫째, 서비스 질과 클라이언트 만족도는 정신보건사회복지서비스의 성과를 증진하는 데 중요한 요인으로 확인할 수 있었고, 특히 클라이언트 만족도가 중요한 역할을 하고 있음이 확인되었다. 둘째, 서비스 질을 구성하는 6가지 하위요인들 중 공감성 요인이 상대적으로 중요한 요인으로 나타나, 사회복지사가 정신장애인에게 감정이입을 많이 할수록 클라이언트 만족도와 서비스 성과가 높아짐을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 정신보건기관의 특성에 따른 서비스 성과의 차이에서는 수련기관이 비수련기관에 비해 서비스 성과가 높았고, 지역사회세팅이 병(요양)원 세팅보다 높아서, 서비스 성과를 제고하기 위해서는 서비스 환경의 특성도 중요하게 고려할 필요가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로 실천적 함의에서는 정신장애인의 다양한 욕구에 효율적으로 반응할 수 있고 정신보건사회복지서비스 질의 특수성을 충분히 반영한 서비스 질 관리기법의 개발이 필요하고, 서비스 질과 클라이언트 만족도를 통합적으로 고려한 서비스 성과방안을 제안하였다.

The purposes of this study are to analyze the influence of service quality and client satisfaction on the psychiatric social work service outcomes and to develop clinical strategies in improving the effectiveness of psychiatric social work services through a successful service outcome control. For this study, the 384 mentally handicapped were selected as research subjects and they answered for a self-administered questionnaire. The major findings can be presented as followings. First, among the respondents using the psychiatric social work services, those who perceived high satisfaction and service quality have also reported high service outcome. In particular, client satisfaction has been proved as a very critical factor in enhancing service outcome. Second, mental health social worker`s empathy has a positive impact on psychiatric social work service outcome. Third, community mental health settings and apprentice agencies were higher than other settings in the level of service outcome. Based on the findings, this study suggests that effective management and periodical checking for service quality are very important for promoting psychiatric social work service outcomes. It also suggests that, differentiating from conventional strategies, future practice for psychiatric social work services should consider both service quality and client satisfaction as a critical factor. Finally, enhancement of service quality management has to be developed in order to effectively reflect various needs of the mentally disabled.
