만 2세 영아반 교사의 역할에서 멘토링(mentoring)의 의미와 전략 = An Exploration of Mentoring"s Meaning and Strategies for Two-year Old Toddler Teachers

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 2세를 맡게 된 초임 영아반 교사의 활동을 참여관찰하고 영아반 교사로서의 어려움을 탐색하며 멘토링 과정을 통해 영아교사의 변화 과정을 기술하고자 한다. 연구대상인 이교사는 초임교사로 보육학과를 졸업하여 영아반을 맡게 되었으며 윤교사는 유아교육과를 졸업한 뒤, 8년의 경력을 갖고 영아반을 올해 처음 맡았다. 멘토링 초기에 영아반 교사들은 직전 교육에서 배운것, 실습에서의 경험, 유아교사로서의 경험을 가지고 영아들을 가르쳤다. 문제 제기하기, 가르치기, 지원과 협력하기, 모델링, 확신하게 하기, 지지하기, 상담하기의 과정을 통하여 멘토링을 수행 하였으며 그 결과 영아교사들은 기존에 가지고 있는 가르치는 행위에 대한 자신의 이미지에 대해 반성적으로 사고하게 되었으며 영아의 요구를 읽고 일상적인 활동의 중요성을 인식함으로써 영아교사로서 보다 유능감을 경험하게 되었다. 직전교육과 보수교육의 부족으로 체계적인 영아교사를 위한 안내가 없는 현 상황에서 멘토링은 많은 가능성을 가진 것으로 나타났으며 영아교사들을 위한 체계적인 멘토링 프로그램이 필요함을 시사한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Mentoring is an efficient method to improve the ability in understanding the individual situation of an toddler teacher in the whole context of the spot, and grasping the difficulties of the teachers and managing the programs for a toddler.
In this thesis. being a mentor myself for about eight months, I mentor two teachers in charge of a two-year-old toddler class. The toddler teachers are novice teachers, and have the experience of an early childhood teacher. The subject and content of mentoring are revealed on the basis of teachers" difficulties in the process of mentoring. The role of the mentor I play in mentoring is questioning, instructing, supporting and cooperating, modeling, building confidence, encouraging, and counseling, as well as emotional assistance. Teachers have gradually recognized the reciprocal action which promotes warm and reaction interaction and improvement, and applied to the actual caring situation.
