The purpose of this paper is to suggest students' question notes as a way to find out what students need to know and want to learn while preparing for TOEIC tests, thus serving as a means of communication between the teacher and the students. The paper argues that students' question notes help students realize and clarify their problems concerning what they are studying. The study illustrates that there is correlation between the number of questions the students asked throughout the semester and their academic achievements. The students who asked the more questions and especially, the more analytical questions got the higher scores in their quizzes, mid-term exam and final exam. The paper discusses more practical and useful ways for teachers to handle enormous amount of questions.
